Will, my deepest condolences for your loss.

My wife and I have been through (multiple) miscarriages and each one is / was painful in it’s own way. It’s not just the loss of a life that we mourn, but the loss of memories that we will never have, and of lives that will never be lived. I became angry, numb, cynical, nihilistic — but time has muted the questions and has subdued the anger. Now, as you so rightly say, the only thing one can do is be.
